SUBSTITUTE OPPORTUNITIES
Teachers | Clerical | Instructional Assistants | Custodial/Utility

We are currently accepting applications for the 2007-2008 school year. Applicants selected for our substitute pool will be scheduled for an orientation and will need to bring the documents listed below to the orientation.

  • Copies of your "current" teaching credential or Substitute Teaching Permit with the registration stamp from the Santa Clara County Office of Education.   Affidavit forms from that office are acceptable.
  • CBEST verification card
  • Verification from your doctor of a negative PPD test taken within 60 days prior to application to our district
  • Current state driver's license or current passport
  • Original social security card

Applicants are required to obtain fingerprint clearance for employment with the District. Live scan request forms will be available in the Human Resources Department. If you have questions please call (408) 252-3000, Extension 214.

Substitute Teacher Information

Requirements:

  • Complete District Application
  • California Teaching Credential or County Teaching Certificate
  • CBEST Score Card
  • Evidence of a negative PPD or chest x-ray
  • Assessment Test Results
  • Orientation

Pay Rates:

  • $120/ Full day rate
    $130/Long-term full day rate (paid retroactively after 21consecutive days)              
  • $ 65/ Half day rate
    $ 77/Long-term half day rate (paid retroactively after 21consecutive days
