Department Overview

The Maintenance Department provides maintenance, repair and utility services for facilities through such trades as electrical, mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, locksmith, glazing, sheet metal, floor covering, and masonry. The department is comprised of a Supervisor, two Lead Persons, and eighteen Tradespersons. The Maintenance Department offers comprehensive daily maintenance support, scheduled preventive maintenance, and major maintenance projects during school breaks.

Focus Statement

Provide a safe and pleasant environment which promotes quality education for CUSD students. The following points highlight this focus.

Maintain and improve condition of CUSD school sites.

Enhance utilization of CUSD owned facilities.

Ensure the safety/security of all students, faculty, and staff.

Aid in the effective accomplishment of major repair and construction.

Provide/optimize support for special events which are a part of CUSD.

Maximize general operational cost effectiveness.

Provide maintenance.
